Chuan’s Promise, founded by Ada Chen, is not just another sustainable skincare brand; it’s a heartfelt promise born from personal experience as a primary caregiver to her father in the midst of a global pandemic in 2020. The stress took a toll on her own self-care but sparked a new mission for her to fuse her passion for sustainability and natural remedies to create a unique skincare line.

When our collaborative journey began, her existing theme design no longer aligned with the elevated vision she had for the brand. As she launched new products and started a rebrand project, it was clear that her website needs a facelift.

The goal of this project focuses on refreshing the homepage and collections page to bring the brand in sync with her aspirations to grow DTC channel and expand into in-person trade shows and brick and mortar stores. The homepage was crafted from the ground up to highlight Chuan’s Promise unique differentiating factors and to create a delightful seamless shopping experience for customers.

When Chuan’s Promise started working with us, they were struggling with:
- Organizing the collections page and creating a megamenu navigation that makes it easy for customers to find products
- How to communicate the brand’s unique differentiating factor and the founder’s brand story as these are not highlighted clearly on the current homepage
- Elevating the website design and move away from the DIY look in order to support their upcoming rebrand and expansion into wholesale and trade shows


We transformed long blocks of text into a visually appealing unique grid custom section. The hero product is on spotlight, supplemented with customer testimonials to build trust and social proof.
The product page is clean and has elements to help customers navigate through various product options and showcase the olive oil production behind-the-scenes with a scrolling marquee.
